LWV partner Common Cause has launched their Election Protection Program for 2020. They are hosting a variety of training programs, including a new program adapted for a COVID-19 reality: Social Media Monitoring. League of Women Voters of Wisconsin: Election Day Observer
Help LWV-WI monitor Wisconsin's elections. Train as an Election Observer and work in polling places in specific areas around the state on November 3rd. LWV-WI provides training, assigns volunteers to polling place(s), and supplies volunteers with a form to record their observations. You don't need to be a League member to do this. Four areas of focus:
Phone Banking with ACLU
ACLU of Wisconsin’s Our Rights for All Voting Campaign is conducting phone banks now through October 29 to speak with voters. Volunteers will help contact voters and ensure that they know all of their options for voting and have all necessary information to prepare to do so. ACLU Wisconsin will provide training. Opportunities in Florida
League of Women Voters of Florida: Poor People’s Campaign
LWV-FL is partnering with the Florida Poor People’s Campaign to enhance outreach to lower income and under-represented communities. The Poor People’s Campaign is a non-partisan effort, aiming to lift the voices of poor and low-income Americans by building moral activism and voter participation.
Volunteers will use PPC’s phone banking system to register voters, provide ballot information, and aid in requesting mail ballots. After a brief training session, volunteers will call voters for just two hours. Get more information and sign-up to join the phone bank on the Poor People’s Campaign’s website.
