Why We Should Abolish the Electoral College and How to Do It
The Electoral College is a puzzling system that often has people scratching their heads about how it works and why we use it. The League of Women Voters has advocated for abolishing this antiquated system since 1970, and more and more Americans are beginning to agree. In 2017, the LWV-Illinois began a project to make the abolition of the electoral college a primary goal for all 700 Leagues across the U.S.
