Voter Outreach

LWVUS POSITION IN BRIEF

  • The League of Women Voters is committed to protecting the right of all citizens to vote and encouraging all citizens to vote.

Plans this year

LWV is an organization fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in principle and in practice. This year, the LWV-Wilmette will:
  • Expand its voter services outreach to community groups serving under-represented areas of our county and state.
  • Share, as requested, our efforts and methods with other local Leagues.
  • Assist and support Wisconsin leagues as they work to protect voting rights in their state.

volunteer opportunities

For those who want to fight voter suppression, address voter questions, improve voter turnout and monitor voter experience, our League has identified the following outreach programs with partner organizations that need help.  Within these offerings, trainings will be conducted virtually and some outreach activities can be done remotely.
LWV-IL: ELECTION PROTECTION
LWV-IL: CHICAGO LAWYERS' COMMITTEE
LWV-WI: COMMON CAUSE & ACLU
