history of proposed cook county Road on Canal Shores Golf Course as of july 2019
The LWV-W strives to promote good governance, civil discourse, and informed public comment on issues of interest to the community. In that effort, the LWV-W undertook to provide factual and detailed information on an issue that has been of interest to the community: a proposed Cook County road over Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (“MWRD”) property that is currently used for the 10th hole of the Canal Shores Golf Course
The LWVW has spent significant time and effort summarizing for the community’s benefit the history of the Keefe property, past efforts to develop and provide road access to that property, and the current status of the MWRD easement to Cook County for a road to the property.
