Voter Registration News:
On Monday, July 2nd, the first part of the landmark automatic voter registration law (AVR) was implemented at DMVs around the state. From now on, when you go to the DMV to renew your driver’s license or state ID card, the state will check and update your voting registration card for you. Illinois is one of only 12 states to approve AVR. It is an important step in the State of Illinois modernizing the voter registration process and improving access to voting for its citizens.
