Please tell us something about yourself and what would make you an asset to the WPL Board.
I have an MBA, Master of Social Work, and a Master of Public Policy in Healthcare Policy from the University of Chicago. I am very analytical, data driven, detail oriented and a good communicator. As a professional health care consultant, I will also be able to offer my expertise in operational processes in dealing with unexpected circumstances, such as the pandemic, to make sure the library always stays an efficient and effective center of education and learning.

response to voter guide questions
1. What do you hope to accomplish as a library board trustee? Please explain why these goals are priorities for you.
I am committed to creating and maintaining a Library as the resource for our residents and community and the educational epicenter for the whole family, where they can have fun, expand their horizons, and connect with friends through the variety of books, wealth of information, and programs offered.
2. What are your financial priorities for the library and how will you ensure they are implemented?
I want to make sure I fulfil my fiduciary responsibilities as a board member to our taxpayers by making sure we do not have any wasteful spending, and there is always active communication and full transparency to inform our taxpayers on the spending.
3. Identify successes and/or failures you have seen in the library’s COVID-19 response, as well as any changes you would like to see while the pandemic continues.
I believe the library successfully followed and stayed in compliance with guidelines of the CDC and American Library Association. I would like to see the ease of utilization not diminished so much by streamlining the operational processes.
4. The library expects to develop a new strategic plan, which the Board would have to approve. What are your priorities for the plan?
I am committed to serving our residents and community to making sure the library is an academic, educational, and professional center for residents of all ages in our community.
5. What is your perspective on the library’s current level of general-fund and special-fund reserves, and how would you approach reserves going forward?
I think our library reserve has been well-maintained, and will apply analytical and data-driven approach to make decisions.
