Wilmette Park District

September 12, 2018 Facilities Operation Committee

9/17/2018

Present: Stephanie Foster, Chair; Gordon Anderson and John Olvany, Commissioners;   Steve Wilson, Staff (Director, Wilmette Park District)

The meeting consisted of updates on the activities of each segment of the Wilmette Park District.
Two items were of special interest to the League of Women voters:
  1. The parking lot at Centennial Park is currently being sealcoated with an approved sealer in compliance with the Wilmette ban on the use of coal-tar based products. It was noted that no sealer was used last year because none of the approved vendors were able to provide an appropriate product at that time.

  2. The commissioners welcomed the opportunity to allow the use of the lobby of Centennial Park for the League of Women Voters to register voters on National Voter Registration Day (9/25/18).

Observer: Trudy Gibbs     Meeting Length: 40 minutes
No next meeting date was established.
